UST To Use SmartSwing Golf's Technology to Test Its Golf Club Shafts

Austin, Texas, March 29, 2005
SmartSwing, Inc., an Austin-based golf technology company, announced today that United Sports Technologies, Inc., one of the golf industry's leading shaft manufacturers, will use SmartSwing's technology for internal product testing.

SmartSwing's technology is typically applied to its own line of intelligent golf clubs. Last fall, however, the company introduced a service where its technology can be integrated into the shaft of another golf club. Either way, a golf club that contains SmartSwing's technology will provide meticulous feedback on a golfer's swing when the data is downloaded to a program on the PC, or in UST's case, allow for sophisticated analysis of shaft performance and variation for a given person's swing.

"UST has a tremendous presence in the golf industry," said Dick Eyestone, CEO and founder of SmartSwing. "We're ecstatic that the company has recognized SmartSwing as having a unique technology that can contribute to its manufacturing and testing process."

UST Product Development and PGA Instructor Jamie Pipes added that "SmartSwing's technology will help us learn more about how different golfers swing the club. It will help us research how the club and shaft system react in such situations."

SmartSwing's intelligent golf clubs can be purchased directly from the company by visiting the web site at www.smartswinggolf.com, or calling 888-794-6418. The clubs are also available at select retailers. To find a retailer near you, visit www.smartswinggolf.com/site/retailers.

About SmartSwing

SmartSwing is an Austin (TX)-based technology company that has developed a revolutionary golf learning system. Its new line of intelligent golf clubs contain patent pending technology, which for the first time allows a golfer to visualize and analyze their swing. During normal play or practice, SmartSwing clubs record all relevant swing data for future analysis. Using SmartSwing software in conjunction with our LS100 or LS300 series clubs, golfers have the unique capability to view their swing in a relative sense by superimposing it upon a known good or 'reference' swing. Sophisticated analytics allow for a detailed diagnosis of swing problems and learning progression from swinging on plane, to distance, to consistency. The result — accelerated learning and greater enjoyment of the game.
